    • Insert appropriate commas and transcribe the names in accordance with the International Standard of Numeration:

Answer:

(a) 76821092 – Seventy six million eight hundred twenty-one thousand ninety-two

(b) 7552283 – Seven million five hundred fifty-two thousand two hundred eighty-three

(c) 99986102 – Ninety-nine million nine hundred eighty-six thousand one hundred two

(d) 48049731 – Forty-eight million forty-nine thousand seven hundred thirty-one

 

    • Find the difference between the greatest and the least 5-digit number that can be written using the digits 6, 2, 7, 4, 3 each only once.

Answer:

Digits given are 6, 2, 7, 4, 3

Greatest 5-digit number = 76432

Least 5-digit number = 23467

Difference between the two numbers = 76432 – 23467 = 52965

∴ The difference between the two numbers is 52965

 

    • A four-day show was conducted in a school. The number of tickets sold at the counter on the first, second, third, and final days was 1094, 1812, 2050, and 2751, respectively. Determine the total number of tickets sold throughout all four days.

Answer:

The number of tickets sold on the first day was 1094.

The number of tickets sold on the second day was 1812.

The number of tickets sold on the third day is 2050.

The number of tickets sold on the fourth day was 2751.

As a result, the total number of tickets sold throughout the four days is 1094 + 1812 + 2050 + 2751 = 7707 tickets.
